Chace Barber credits TikTok with helping him build a new multi-million dollar business. Back in 2020, Chace was a truck driver hauling logs in Canada. He joined in discussions on TikTok about the issues with modern semi-trucks and the opportunities to develop a hybrid electric option. The idea gained momentum and Edison Motors was born, with production due to start in 2020.

Chace launched Edison Motors along with a crowdfunding campaign. His presence on TikTok played a key role in spreading the word connecting him with suppliers. He also asked his community questions to help develop the project. Many of these early collaborators went on to become his first business partners.

Chace has also been able to give back to his local community through TikTok. Edison Motors’ EV design program at a local school helped some students find engineering jobs right out of high school.
TikTok is helping Chace live out his dream, with Edison Motors leading the future of hybrid-electric automotive development and manufacturing in Canada.
